The universe didn't really conspire to get me into advertising. But here I am anyway! What began as love at first sight (or was it fight) has grown to become an abiding passion. Boy, what a journey it's been. Some success. A lot of heartache. And one stubborn resolve. To build brands and create ads that would work - both for the client and for me. Hope you have as much fun viewing them, as I had creating them.
Kolkata Kolkata - Short Film
This short film was the baby of a workshop. The theme was close to our hearts and so is the film. It was chosen to be screened at the prestigious Kolkata Short Film Festival.
ESPN - Euro 2008
Soccer came back to haunt me. It was almost as if it was saying: "Bach ke kahan jaoge?" (Where will you escape?)
ESPN - Tata Sky
Cricket, football, tennis or what-have-you. Most Indians love sports. So when a leading digital service provider decided to take away the one thing that binds Indians so strongly, these ads were born. The work of just a few hours (briefed at 5 in the evening, these ads had to be released the next day), these ads were meant to ruffle feathers. The client loved them but found them too controversial to be released.
Monte Carlo - Sale
Like most girls (and some nice guys) I like shopping. New collections. Newer styles. Better brands. And what if you add to it - better bargains? Well, the game just becomes a lot more interesting and fierce. I have girlfriends who wait for sales. Who save for it. Who stand outside stores to be the first ones in. These ads are a dedication to them.
